How it works

Short and checkable: every limit links to the platform's own page, read on 28 Oct 2026.

  1. Mark the part

Scrub to a moment and tap “Start here”, then “End here” — or type the times, like 1:05.4.

  2. Crop if it's wide

9:16, 1:1 or 4:5 keeps the biggest window of that shape; move it to keep the subject in frame. The same arithmetic as the resize calculator.

  3. A new file, made here

The kept part is decoded and re-encoded as H.264 and AAC by your browser, so the cut starts on any frame.

What it doesn't do

  • One part per file: to remove several pieces, use the silence cutter or an editor.
  • The frame doesn't follow a moving subject: it stays where you put it.
  • Nothing is uploaded; the new file stays in this tab until you save it.

Questions

How do I trim a video without an app?

Drop it here, play to the first moment you want and tap “Start here”, then to the last and tap “End here”. The kept part is re-encoded as an MP4 in your browser.

Can I crop a landscape video to vertical at the same time?

Yes. Pick 9:16 (or 1:1, 4:5), move the frame left or right, and the cut comes out upright.

Is the cut exact to the frame?

To about one frame: the tool decodes and re-encodes the kept part, so it can start on any frame, not only on a keyframe.
